I don’t like to spoil plot points for myself, so I did not read up on it and only provided the little knowledge that is given in the title… It involves a trailer park and there will be some terror involved. Oh yeah, big hint if you may not know me all that well. If you are the kind of person that gives away movies or tells to much of the plot I may become physical. Not sexy physical, like the back of my hand hitting your cheek physical. Anyways… Obviously, any horror movie having to do with ‘redneck’ or ‘trailer park’ is going to have some cheese to it, and personally that is a really thin line of approval for me. So I was not expecting much from this particular film… but I was pleasantly surprised. Actually, I am going to buy this movie, and that is saying something.

Norma is a pretty girl living out her early life in a run down trailer park. All she wants is stability and love, and she has finally found this with her new boyfriend Aaron. After preparing for the local school dance (can I point out she appears to be atleast in her mid 20’s?) there is a scuffle with her waiting boyfriend and the main men of the trailer park. After a few minutes this ends in tragedy, and Aaron is pushed and impaled on the broken iron fence. In tears, Norma runs from the park and walks down the highway to get away, but she is soon approached by a sinister looking gentleman in black who has given her a gun and made ‘a deal’(aka pact with the devil) to get back at those involved in her troubles for a price…

I looked over some reviews and once again an alarming number of people disagree with me and think this movie was a wasted rental. Well fuck. Granted the plot of ‘haunting’ has been done to death, but this actually took a creative and funny turn with it. I genuinely laughed at a few parts, especially Roach(though he had a GREAT jaw bone, so I may be bias because he was alright looking for white trash haha). Also the acting was impressive for the budget, and the cinematography was really good. The angles of some of the shots were amazing and guided you through the story perfectly. And the gore? It was not CGI pumped(done in a careful moderation) and was primarily hand crafted... People just don’t respect that anymore and really should. I would hands down recommend this, and I am sure once I snag a copy I will be handing it out to a few of you locals to watch, especially you Shanda. Also, it appears to be uploaded on Youtube by the user AlterIllusion… and yes, it does appear to be unrated and is available in HQ.

Update

Notice a delay in my entries? Well I have been a bit pre-occupied in general, but specifically I have been out of state for the last couple of weeks. I took a needed vacation to visit family and also have a nice introduction to my new beautiful niece. All was well and very entertaining. Primarily spent time with my two older brothers, and then a little time out in the country side to see my grandparents and also mother. My oldest brother is a shopper, so we went by a few record shops and played Rock Band like crazy haha. I think my biggest score is the soundtrack for Trick or Treat on vinyl though, as well as Clockwork Orange. But on the polar side, while in the country my allergies hit me with full force and I was stuck indoors for the most part, but got to meet the Dahmer look alike neighbor Carl who likes to spend his evenings cutting through the night sky with his chainsaw in a psychotic frenzy, especially when he wants to piss off his neighbors. No joke, I even witnessed the action and fell asleep to the comforting buzz on my last night. Also found out my great grandfather there has a complete slaughter shed for butchering local game. Next time I am there I will definitely be doing a photo shoot in memory of Gein. Also, my mother took me out to the gut dump site, which stunk to hell but made some great pictures thanks to the rotting pigs and arrangements of bones… Wonder what the luggage department at the airline thought when they inspected my bags and found spinals cords haha.

But I managed to get sick thanks to all the kids and their friendly little germs, and at this time also a fucking cripple thanks to my ditzy ass tripping over my luggage.. So I am signing off!

Collection Complete

Pet lover Anita has setup a surprise party for her newly retired husband Jonas, but as soon as he steps through the door the reality of retirement hits him and he looses interest in celebrating. I just want to put in my few cents since this is becoming a rapid story. I watched a brief interview and she clearly stated that she was lonely and made the decision to have an arranged pregnancy since she was unable to hold stable relationships and have another child of her own. When she found out that she was pregnant with octuplets she was pleasantly surprised, as if she is a stray bitch in heat and about to have a litter of puppies, rather than logically discussing an alternative to this situation. It is not like this is a woman in a long term relationship with failing pregnancies wanting a large family, she is a deranged hag having a hard time financially caring for her ALREADY 6 fucking kids when she made this decision to pop out 8 more for her sitter to watch.... So, this clown car twat is soaking up assistance from tax payers because she was 'lonely'. She had 6 fucking kids to start with... SIX! This is already an abnormally big family in my opinion. Also, half of them are mentally disabled(BIG SURPRISE!), so the chances are ridiculously high for these premature babies to have health problems.

Wow, you will pick up all the guys now

Somebody needs to get these kids away from this nut and adopt them out unless they die premature, and give her a fucking tubal ligation. Or, I can fucking rip out her ovaries if they want to take a cheaper route, since she is sucking up everyone's money anyways.

Jack Brooks Monster Slayer

As a small child Jack watched in utter fear as his perfect parents and kid sister are unexpectedly attacked and killed by a monster while on their yearly camping trip. Now Jack is facing anguish and guilt from the traumatizing experience, and has to work with his explosive temper. With this burden in mind, Jack is also trying to balance work as a plumber, a bitch for a girlfriend, and night classes at a local college. Though his life is soon to change. After a class, his professor (Robert Englund) asks if he would be kind enough to take a look at his pipes as he is having some issues with a house he is renovating. Ofcourse, Jack takes a trip by the house that evening. While working on the issue, the pressure from clogged pipes expands to the back yard and an illuminating crack begins to show through the lawn. Soon a dark presence is released and Jack is again faced with his fear of monsters.

I really liked this movie and will probably even consider getting myself a copy. This was not as monster filled as I worried. For me, monsters usually mean cheese, and I can only handle so much.. so I try and steer clear... but I decided to give it a chance and I am very happy that I did. This was an entertaining plot and well put together in my opinion. A needed refresh from all the remakes currently circulating our theaters. This was a bit weak on realistic gore, as all the gore in the film was green and such to fit the 'monster' category... but it was obviously put together with love by the fx crew so it has just as much respect from me, even if I prefer realism. Also, they gave me perverted screen shots haha.

One thing I want to ask though, what in the fuck is wrong with people? I did a quick look over on IMDB and My Name is Bruce is almost hitting 10 and this movie is down in the 6 range with an assortment of bad reviews. Are you kidding me? This movie was the only thing that kept me from falling into a vegetable state after watching My Name is Bruce. This movie had some fun special effects, and had a very funny script and with well selected actors(except for the supposedly 'hot' chicks). The lead as Jack cracked me up, and Robert Englund was obviously a handful... Seriously..

Give me some sugar, baby

I originally heard about My Name is Bruce some time ago as a friend of mine told me it was having a limited local preview. After picking through more information, we found out to our excitement that it was being introduced my Bruce Campbell himself, but it was happening over the coming weekend... In case you haven't picked up yet, that means that if you didn't have a ticket already then you are out of luck because it was obviously sold out. I don't think I am exaggerating when I say that there is a ridiculous amount of Bruce fans here in Portland, let alone the Northwest area.

Flash forward to now. Netflix finally mailed me the movie. I was so excited I am surprised I didn't chew on the Blu-Ray disc. After about 10 minutes into the movie, I felt my stomach knot... After all this anticipation, Bruce threw out a cheesy tongue and cheek. Obviously within his style, but he could have done a LOT better than a few low laughs. Do I still respect my sugar? You bet your ass! But I won't be running out to get this movie, but I am sure there is a line of his fans that will so I am sure he will make a few off of it.

For those of you that are not aware..
Story is of a young man named Jeff that accidentally releases the Asian spirit Guan-Di when having a get together with his friends at the towns old mining cemetery. This vengeful spirit kills his friends within minutes, and begins to terrorize the town. Surviving the incident, Jeff turns to his idolized hero Bruce Campbell to save the town. Little does this kid understand, Bruce is not a gun wielding Ash like portrayed in the movies, so everyone is in for a rough battle against Guan-Di.

Lets go over my traditional now. I won't be buying this, and this movie seems to be either hot or cold with people... so it is a partial recommendation, atleast that is the best way I could recommend it. If this is a quick Netflix rental, or a friend of yours grabbed a copy from a local video shop, give it your time and see what you think. Some people really like it, as this was an added recommendation from a friend of Rays.. but then again my friend Shanda who usually has some questionable taste was on my side that it wasn't worth the wait. So don't buy into a side and just see for yourself. But as for my side, I also want to point out that the gore was also a let down. There was really no selection for morbid taste, mainly the same 'off with his head' shots and that was it for the movie... and that is it for my review

Ah yes...

I had this video posted a few months ago on another profile, but I love this song so much that I have to move it on over...

Tales From the Crypt Presents:

Dead Wait

Directed by Tobe Hooper this is the story of Red (I want to point out that only Kimberly makes a good ginger!), who is set to smuggle a rare black pearl being held on a small Jamaican Island. The owner of the pearl is an aging man that owns a plantation, so Red decides to get hired by the man to get closer to his precious piece. After reviewing things, it is decided by Red that he should get to the pearl through the owners unfaithful girlfriend, Catrine. In a good creepy way he is attractive, and he usually plays odd fucked up parts… Two words… Brad Dourif. This fortunately meant smoking my Luxury Light Capri's and having a glass of Pinot Noir while sorting and watching a selection of horror. Haha, I felt like a catty snob from Dynasty. Perfect night if you ask me..

I have been reviewing a few of the Tales From the Crypt VHS's I recently scored at a local thrift store. This episode Seance is of a con artist couple, Alison and Benny, as they chase a widows fortune by playing her spiritual adviser, hoping to mimic her late husband and convince her to give them her money. While trying to act out the seance, things go horribly wrong...

Decent and had a nice turn for the worse, but rather cheesy and overplayed with the one liner ending. Gore was a bit amateur, but still good, especially since this was aired as late night tv. I honestly wouldn't pay for this episode alone, but thankfully the trio it is included on is well worth a few bucks to have in a collection.

The Dardos Award

The Dardos Award is given for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values transmitted in the form of creative and original writing. Needless to say, I fell in love with it at first read and kept daily tabs. Attempted to get to know the writing man himself, Big Wop, and after a bit of time we finally started talking and hit it off, and now he has me on here as well. This guy has valid opinions, detailed reviews, and a great sense of humor... Also, if you read back you will see a glorious little shot of him with mah Tom Savini. I think Ray and I need to pack up and head East to be near my people.

The Wop-iverse

What? Any horror fan will probably have th same thoughts when I say the title My Bloody Valentine 3D... "Bastards remaking ANOTHER classic"... "Ooh, but 3D sounds nice"...

Well after days of whining I finally convinced Ray that we had to go and I will even pay... and as far as I am concerned BW owes me $20 haha! We got there atleast 15mins early to hopefully ensure good seats, and it should have been a red flag when the theater was empty and by the introduction statement "Please put on your 3D glasses now" there were only eleven people, including myself and Raymond.

First impression is the movie had a horrible flow and immediately jumped into action. No suspense, no needed buildup, but a mining pick threw the back of a kids head with a CGI animated 'eyeball' impaled on the tip. Fun to watch thanks to our overpriced snazzy single use glasses, but bad for a movie.

After this meaningless introduction of gore thanks to disposable teenagers, the scene closes with a group of fleeing survivors running to their truck outside the mine, making the decision to leave behind a fallen friend at the entrance. This kid Tom lives to see another day though because a group of parents are on the killers tracks and have a shooting showdown.

Years later Tom returns back to his feared hometown to sell the mines owned by his late father. While meeting with old friends and dealing with the mines, murder starts up again in the town leaving them to think that the killer has returned from the grave or a copy cat is in action.

Again, this had a horrible flow. The plus side with this movie is it actually had a good idea to refresh the original, but it seems like it got in the wrong hands. The acting was bad, but I will say that they had a weak script to work from. This is an obvious example of a pushed out movie that was only geared to make theatrical benefit without caring for a lasting impression. This is unfortunate because it had potential to be something really good but will make a horrible rental and I question the judgment of any individual that would consider purchasing it from their personal collection. Also, to rub some salt on the wound the gore was repetitive or fully computer animated... both are big no-no's in my book.

Im waiting for your review BW... waiting...

The Attic

This is a total chick thriller, and I loved every minute of it. Beautiful and well dressed actress Carrie Snodgress took the lead role as Louise, the aging and troubled local town woman. Nineteen years prior to the point in the movie, her soon to be husband went missing on their wedding day. Some speculate he got cold feet, but Louise did not doubt their love and was sure there may be a more tragic explanation.

Because this haunts Lou, she has become an alcoholic and is now facing early 'retirement' from her job as a librarian due to a previous mental breakdown at work. Aside from these hard to cope with issues, she also is at the will of her abusive handicap father who undermines her daily and is over controlling. This has left Louise without much for a social outlet and held her to the home to suffer in her own flowing insanity.

Over the next hour you watch the story play out and unfortunately an ending that is expected. Because the film is rather straight to the point, I can't rave, but I will admire. Louise's acting was so dramatic, so classic. The soundtrack was simple but worked with the movie, and is still lingering in my head.

I would recommend this for a lady feeling emotion. Great flick for those surviving the 6 day bleed and want something to cry about.

Gah

Even more behind than usual. I did manage to get pictures of swatches, but I didn't get around to making an official blog. I should be receiving my needed computer parts tomorrow afternoon so soon I will be back on track and on my own familiar system.

Though there was an accomplishment tonight. I made raviolis with partial wheat dough and a basic cheese filling since Ray is so picky anymore. This was my first time making them on my own, not to mention I was racing against the clock to have dinner done, so I didn't really get any pictures but did snap a quick one after rolling out(this method is a lot better then freehand!). If anybody is interested in the recipe let me know, I would list it now but I am getting a headache :(

Put't in mah mawth!

Yay, I went on a sugar craze this morning and finally did a recipe I had been wanting to for years considering it is almost useless to get in the states unless you want to pay extra for it being internationally stocked or get it from a fine candy store. I made honeycombs and did half of my amount dipped in milk chocolate -=angels singing in the background as they string their harps=-... but most importantly, I want to share the love and make sure everyone else makes them as well! Downside though is this candy should be consumed within about a 24hr period because it gathers moisture, which makes it very chewy and that uncomfortable stick to your teeth 'no no'. Usually this isn't a downside, but my love Raymond won't eat sweets anymore so any dessert I make is dependent on me to consume haha.

This recipe is fairly small, and you will notice that I have odd measurements so you can double the recipe for practical use or work with it as I did.

Dipped in chocolate (you can tell in the middle piece that the chocolate overheated, its okay.. I enjoyed it regardless haha)

Texture closeup

1/8 cup Honey
1/4 cup Light Corn Syrup
1 Cup White Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/8 cup water

First off is preparation, carefully line an 8x8 pan with aluminum foil and be sure to gently press all edges so that the appearance is fairly smooth(otherwise the candy will get between the cracks and become difficult to peel away). Next gently sift the baking soda into a small bowl and set it aside near the area you will be working in for convenience. If you have a candy thermometer, it can be very helpful though I was able to successfully make this treat without(though I will admit my first batch was a dud). Also keep in mind that this will generally triple in size once the baking soda is added, so use a pot a little larger then you would think, and it is very helpful if it has a long handle for the pouring stage as it will require you to work quickly with a boiling mixture that can cause severe burns if mishandled.

Over medium heat combine the honey, syrup, sugar, and water until the sugar has mostly dissolved. Do not stir vigorously as you want to avoid a lot of side splatter so that the sugar does not crystallize along the edges. At this point, stop stirring the mixture and allow in to gradually boil until softly past a light amber stage. If you have a Thermometer I believe this should be just before 300d. Remove from heat and pour in the baking soda and rock the pot to help incorporate the soda, or you can use a wooden spoon if preferred. Only stroke this several times and then immediately pour into your lined pan and allow to cool.

Once this has cooled you can lift the foil with candy from the dish and slowly peel the foil off to discard. For controlling reasons because this will crumble when divided, take a long piece of plastic wrap and loosely fold it over the honeycomb so that you can gently break pieces with the force of your palm, or with a quick palm strike with a knife to get about 1-2" amounts.

At this point you can enjoy the honeycomb, or dip it into your choice of chocolate for decadence. Remember that if you do enjoy chocolate(which I HIGHLY suggest!) that you can dump any left over crumbs into your remaining chocolate and they are also spectacular with no waste!

Mineral Cosmetic Overview

After my last review I have been dying to update with a new post on the rest of my favorite makeup. I covered most of my mineral cosmetics, though as you have read I have 3 more orders on the way from Archetype since I am SO impressed! Also, you will notice that I reposted the same Archetype colors because I was able to adjust my camera settings and now the color is close to true without the use of fine tuning on my photo shop program... which means a bit more dimension.

Let me note that my color reviews is for the appearance on my skin tone. There is review and comparison to the listed colors on the site, but these are my take on the colors as shown with pictured swatches. I purposefully include in each photo the color in and out of focus in attempt to show dimension. These are taken on the inside of my arm, but you will notice some differences with texture due to different areas on my arm. Some glitter also drifts in store when made or when sampled, so if you see a few misbehaved specks please work with me :) Also, prices are from site and are only for Eye Shadow, these sites also feature foundation, blush, lip products, and other great cosmetics!

I am also including a coverage with the eyeshadow as I know many women have particular preferences. I personally prefer sheer colors, where as my close friend prefers deep intensity. I have a letter to represent a general idea with each category of coverage.

A: This is a blendable and easy to build. Works perfect as a sheer highlight, but can easily be applied with a heavy hand.

B: This color is best sheer. This does not build well and become uneven if heavily applied.

C: This color is intended for intensity and may be best applied wet. Sheer coverage is near impossible as the color tends to begin uneven.

Fyrinnae Cosmetics
Website
Great customer service and dimensional colors!
Sample Size: $1.50 (Generous 1/4t comes in 3 gram)
Full Size: $5.25 (Heavily packed in 5 gram)

Polar Bear: Great for an intense hightlight for the brow, especially for a bronzed summer look. This color is a sheer gold with a very subtle shimmer pickup of soft peach. You will notice my skin shade as a background to the color, only the top gold is the shadow lightly applied. A

Selkie Skin: This is a nice color that would work an almost anybody as it has a very versatile appearance. In container this is a soft taupe, but when applied it becomes a a very deep gray based taupe with silver shimmer with tint of light green and peach glitter for dimension. A and C If lightly applied you will have a nice silver shimmer, but if you get heavy in any area it will have an deep gray taupe background. So if carefully done this is actually beneficial.

But I Like Frogs: Color is intense and not for the faint at heart! This is a rich blue with a heavy cover of green glitter. A

Wicked: Lovely color and not as intense as it seems in jar! Color is a sheer deep but vibrant purple with turquoise glitter. B

Ultrasuede: Intense matte chocolate brown, almost black. Blends fairly well, and works as a wonderful eyebrow shadow for Brunette to Black. C

Okapi: This is another fairly dark color, so it would be recommended for those looking for intensity with dimension. Color is a darkened velvet plum with gold and peach glitter. C

Sluagh: This color makes a gorgeous depth in the crease! A beatiful muted raisin color with gold glitter and peach shimmer. A

Anaconda: Very deep matte green, almost a muted black. Blends fairly well. C

Aroma Leigh Cosmetics
Website
Great site to check as they are usually having discount sales!
Sample Size: $1.30 (About 1/16t in bag)
Full Size: $5.75-$8.00 (These come in 5 gram)

Marigold: This is my favorite color as a highlight. Color is a sheer peach wash with a subtle gold and peach shimmer. Works beautifully with almost any other color. My skin color can lightly be seen as a background with this sheer color. A

Blue Hue: Very interesting color and definitely for an outgoing lady as a highlight as it kind of reminds me of a cyber look. In jar it is white, but when applied it because a sheer white wash with a vibrant blue shimmer. You will notice my skin as the background to the sheer color. A

Underworld: Very dimensional color and is another favorite of mine. This is a rich raisin color with a soft pink sheen of shimmer and blue glitter. A

Rockbottom: This color is closer to a red touched brown so it is very versatile, and it has a touch of copper shimmer. A

Sabine: As I would incorrectly say, this is from the 'Betty Nor' collection ;P This is a rich velvety chocolate brown with soft gold shimmer and complimentary purple glitter. C

Earthen Sage: Amazing duo color eye shadow. Base color is a softened terra cotta with an even layer or green shimmer. A

Holy Grail: This is a very nice neatural for us tame ladies! Background color tends to reach an intensity of deep olive while there is an even layer of subtle gold shimmer. This is actually a mix of A and C. If lightly applied you will have a nice golden olive shimmer, but if you get heavy in any area it will have an olive background. So if carefully done, as seen in my previous post, this is actually beneficial.

Graphite: A deep matte gray with blue undertones. Unfortunately I want to point out this does not blend well and is not the most flattering, but on a positive note this would make a great pigment to use for death with fx. C

Archetype Cosmetics
Website
Little slow on shipping, but worth it!
Sample Size: $0.25 (Low price for 1/8t in bag)
Small Size: $3.75 (General amount in 5 gram)
Large Size: $7.00 (Large amount in 10 gram)
XL Canister: $9.75 (To be confirmed)

Poison Pen: This would look amazing paired up with Aroma Leigh's Holy Grail! This has a very subtle olive base with an intense over layer of gold shimmer and glitter.A

Death's Head: Another great neautral but this time with an extra touch of glitter. Very nice chocolate brown with green and gold glitter. A

Samhain Eve: This is a very flattering taupe with a muted lavender touch with silver sparkle. A

Beetlewing: This base is also a taupe but leaning to the blue touched grey side with an intense sparkle in green and silver.A

SheSpace Cosmetics
Varied selection of colors with lots of glitter
Website
Sample Size: $0.50 (About 1/8t in bag)
Full Size: $4.00 (General amount in 3 gram)

Into the Night: This is a blackened deep olive with intense gold sparkle. For color payoff use heavy base. A

Convicted: A raisin base with a nude shimmer with intense highlights of blue and green glitter with some peach. For color pay off use heavy base. A

Aroma Leigh Day!

I have a few job applications to drop off, so I wanted to look a pinch above normal, but not overdone, so I decided to whip out an eye shadow duo that looks divine. As usual, it was impossible to capture the dimension of the shadow so the pictures are a bit dull in comparison to how it actually looks.

With my eyes I put Marigold over the entire lid to my brow, and then Holy Grail heavily applied to my crease and then softly blended up towards my brow as well as down to my lashline. If applied with a heavy hand, the Holy Grail has a deep olive background with a golden glitter as you can see with the crease... It took me a while to get a good application down with this shadow, but I love how it looks like I am wearing more then I actually am! My eyebrows I used the left over liner from each side, and then blend it with a clear mascara so it appears more natural and blends with the hair. My eyebrows are a nightmare though because I have a calic on my inner left brow(also have a nice calic at my widows peak so my hair is impossible to style when up). My lips I did a basic outline in Mauve and then did a sheer coat in Zest. About my picture.. Yeah I know... I am not making any faces, heavily made up, or covered in blood and gore.. this is probably the plainest I have ever photographed and I am not sure if I like it haha

Face:
Bare Minerals Foundation in Light
Lips:
NYX Lip Liner in Mauve
Aroma Leigh Lip Gloss in Zest
Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Aroma Leigh Frost in Marigold
Aroma Leigh Hue in Holy Grail
MAC Fluidline in Black Track (also used on eyebrows)
Cover Girl Super Thick Lash in Black
Cover Girl Clear Mascara

No Flash:

With Flash:

Full Makeup Shot: (When I was growing up I was nick named 'ojos grandes' by the father of my Spanish friends.. still a very fitting name haha)

My Favorite

Today is an impressive day! I just got in the mail Fatal Addiction: Ted Bundy’s Final Interview on VHS. This is very limited copy and I got one for an absolute steal, so needless to say I am really excited. Downside? The tape has some wear and has a high pitch squeal for the first 5 minutes, and even sounds horrible when rewinding. Anybody know if there is a way to realign and fix this? Is anybody familiar with copying VHS format to DVD through a computer or anything? I would like to have a solid personal copy for myself and not fear that this is a single view.

For starters, I have always had a preference for Ted Bundy when it comes to serial killers... Without doubt he has to be a favorite. Somewhere between his good looks and morbid lifestyle he had me… but then again I am a sick lady. I really wish he was still alive because I would likely write to him and get to know him better. That is the hardest part for anybody with a fascination for killers is that they are often dead.

This VHS is dedicated to “The Fight Against Violent Pornography”... how funny is that?! The tape starts with the interviewer talking with another man in regards to the talk he had with Bundy, and the after effect considering the interview took place the day before his execution. Finally they clip to the interview... Ted is reviewing how things led up to his murders. He reviewed that he came from a fairly stable Christian family, but like other young boys he would play on the streets at a young age and would find interesting items in garbages or various areas and some of these items made an imprint on him. Ted found an assortment of pornographic magazines, violent photos from detective magazines, and hardcore pornography. All these things bound together sparked his attention and he found excitement from them… so over time he began searching for more hardcore pornography as he felt that porno was his addiction, as he was constantly trying to find better and harder material. Finally, he admits that he came to a point where he realized that the next step in his sexual progression is to find women to perform these acts on, and he ended up spiraling into his desires which led to murder.

He also briefly discusses how graphic television has become, especially horror movies, which I find to be amusing because in reality I bet he was jacking off in his cell over it. Actually seeing Ted’s reaction to questions, his thoughtful answer and passion from his statements was mind blowing. When discussing particular matters like his first murder he would close his eyes and pause for a moment. The interviewer later stated that he felt like Ted was being sympathetic of his actions, but I think he was just reliving them considering he often had a quick smirk or lack of guilt in his eyes. Bottom line is, he enjoyed what he did, otherwise he wouldn’t have done it.

I absolutely hate the Christian ending to the interview, which reminds me how much people piss me off. We are growths and just playing a forgettable part in the world, so trying to comfort someone in a weak position with a lie like religion infuriates me. Ted said time and time again, he was raised ‘Christian’ and to know what is morally considered right and wrong. There is a breed like him sprouting up all over the world, it was not just one thing that made him who he is. People don’t like to see the fact that Ted is just Ted. Every one of us is different and unique, but we all have a drive inside of us that fuels who we are. Christianity is not going to save anybody from their own nature.

Though this video was shorter then I would have liked(which isn't hard, I could watch these non stop), this was without doubt worth it and I am SO happy to have it in my collection. On that same note, I am curious what killer or violent individual other people are fascinated with and why… in the mean time I will be cuddling with this movie in bed ;)

Cannibal

Wow, I just finished watching a movie that drifted on my Netflix account for months and was sent due to the fact that I wasn’t paying attention to my que, otherwise I would have continued to push it back in place because it didn’t SEEM amazing because I have been out of my movie loop… Well, this kicked me in the ass. This is a close story to the cannibal influenced murder by Armin Meiwes, and was damn impressive.

The plot of this movie is simply put and only documenting what is known during the time of the murder, so it is not in depth but rather straight to the point. Also a nice highlight to keep in mind is that this film is similar to Nekromantik in some style, especially because there is very limited dialogue as the movie is meant to be a visual piece.

In the movie you follow ‘The Man’ (who is meant to be Armin) place multiple online ads in attempt to find a person that understands his fetish for flesh and will allow him to kill and devour ‘The Flesh’. After many failed attempts, ‘The Man’ finally finds another gay interested man and after detailed discussion it is decided that they should meet and have their finale in Armin’s home, where they complete their desires.

This movie is not for the easily offended or homophobic because you will see a lot of blood, and a lot of dick… This is unfortunate because I know people that would love the gore in this film, but would turn their cheek at the first site of cock. Seriously, the gore in this film absolutely amazed me, and I am a total special effects critic. The gore alone is a solid reason to give this a view, but for a unique story you will have to go in with an open mind otherwise it will be hard to follow the plot. I was far from expecting what I was going to see because I did not know the story in detail, so for me it was very exciting as this was my first view of how things happened during the actual murder. If you are feeling open, watch it!

B.W's Fault

I want to see everyone else! I received my order from Archetype Cosmetics on Saturday January 3 which was originally placed on December 2nd, so their 3 to 4 week shipping scenario is still in effect (I consider myself lucky though because a handful of gals have waited months).

Archetype Cosmetics Site

$0.25 - Sample Bag (Generous amount!)
$3.75 - Small Pigment
$7.00 - Large Pigment
$9.75 - XLarge Pigment

Shipping is also very reasonable starting at $1.75 First Class Mail

Overall I received a full size of Gloomy Sunday, and Beetlewing with an assortment of samples in Bela’s Grave, Transylvanian Concubine, The Gargoyle Tree, Death's Head, Poison Pen, and Samhain Eve. Several of these did not fit my taste and were passed on to my friend Winter who is my polar opposite in makeup(great because if a color doesn’t work on one of us, it will on the other), so this will be a brief review. And let me note I am impressed! I placed another order last night, and have a few that will be passed from Winters waiting order so I will soon be to my neck in Archetype Cosmetics and updated reviews... Yay!

The colors look beautiful indoor or outdoors, and are very versatile so they can be dressed up or down for occasion. The colors build well so you can have an even sheen to full intensity, and blend perfectly so they do not cake on like some cosmetics. One thing to note is that the colors that have sparkle or glitter are not fooling, and unfortunate for myself because I prefer matte to low shimmer so some of these I have to feel outgoing to wear. Because of the sparkle, without second thought I recommend that you use Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base to help keep the shimmer in place. Following that guideline I wore Samhain Eve yesterday in the crease and it blended beautiful with my highlight base color of Marigold from Aroma Leigh. The glitter from the shadow also stayed in the desired area with only a few specks on Marigold, and I did not get any fall off on my cheek!

Also, if closely reviewed it appears that all the shadows that I received have a soft peach/pink undertone to the shimmer, which strangely looks really nice and adds dimension to the color. Don’t let that intimidate you either because I myself am not a pink person but whole heartily approve. Also, the colors appear to vary in different lighting due to the dimension and shimmers, so my reviews are a mix in varied lightings.

It was absolutely impossible to get these colors pictured, so I had to tweak the tones of the pictures to try and get a close match of how it really looks in person. For dimension you can see the glitter and shimmer pickups in the short video clip. You can mostly see the sparkle highlights when the camera goes out of focus on the previous color. UDPP used as base and colors in order Beetlewing(to pink and looks closer to the actual Samhain Eve, but you can really see the green shimmer), Poison Pen, Samhain Eve(far to brown), and finally Death's Head.

Beetlewing: The base color is a taupe leaning to the bluish grey side. This has shimmer in silver and even sparkle in green.

Poison Pen: I really like this color, though for some reason it is suddenly missing from the website so I could not get a full size in my new order. Base color is a deep golden olive with a gold shimmer.. This is absolutely ideal for people that stay towards warm colors, like myself, and is great on olive skin.

Samhain Eve: This is the ideal taupe with a sheen muted purple and silver sparkle. Site says moderate amount of sparkle but I think it is more than enough haha.

Death's Head: Base is a creamy brown with a sheer overlay of soft red shimmer, and gold with green sparkle.

Yum

Garg

I have been sick for the past few days, so I have not felt up to movie patrol or updating blogs. Thankfully though, it seems like the worse is over. I haven't been able to get a full nights rest thanks to blowing my nose every 10mins, and coughing up phlegm.. just swell. Also the fun body aches and chills, as well as a funky head. But this morning I am only stuffy so I have a dirty house that has been waiting for my health.

To help motivate myself I have a song dedication, which was recently sparked by a small discussion between Kimberly. When I worked retail it was oldies all day, and every time I heard the dance beat to this song I would go into fantasy and see my Italian Stallion in disco glory set back in the movie Maniac ... So enjoy ;)

Preparation for War

Something that was incredibly entertaining was being snowed in, and having weapons :) Being the ladies we are, Winter and myself took the oppurtunity to update some pictures and have fun in the snow. We took a needed vacation to Washington to visit my favorite lady, so I apologize for being a bit behind. Updates are not very filling as we mostly just laid back and relaxed during our stay, but we did go out and see Valkyrie on Christmas. I will NEVER do that again, ever! We walked in before previews or anything like that, and we were stuck down in the front row pretty much staring at the ceiling to try and watch the movie. My background on the movie was limited as I saw one mini preview commercial, and didn’t have a clue what time during the war it was about, or even the character outline... but I did remember seeing Tom Cruise in uniform, and every Oprah commercial I see he is guest on... so it was obvious what kind of direction the movie would be in, and that it would have absolutely no understanding for the movement so I wasn’t very excited that we would be paying to watch Hollywood pump out another waaa-waaaa story, but I didn’t have a choice.

At opening for the movie I was excited thinking that it would be played out in German as the subtitles were already pressed, but it quickly faded to English so I was disappointed. It opens to Colonel Claus (Tom Cruise) writing in his diary his regrets to partake in the war, and how he is torn between defending his country for his family and following guidance from a man that he viewed as evil, being Adolf Hitler. Moments after closing his journal the area is bombed and under gun fire and he is left crippled on the ground later resulting to an amputated arm, several missing fingers on his working arm, and a missing eye. With pride he attempts to follow his place in the group regardless of his injuries, but he soon is in final decision that Hitler must be brought down from power and the war needs to be pushed to its end.

I have mixed feelings in regards to the war, but to keep from offending the vast majority of people from misunderstanding I will keep most under wrap and not get to blunt. One thing that really gets under my skin about this Hollywood produced piece is that anybody who understood Hitler’s view and defended their land were marked as villains. I will again admit that I do not agree with some aspects of the war, but Hitler was picking up the pieces of his fallen country and trying to group his men to honor the land again. Life isn’t a Disney movie and sometimes you need to pull up your boots.

Ahem, anyways… The gore and battle wounds in this movie amazed me. I was very impressed with the work done, even the CGI touchups and usually I am dead set against any use of ‘Nerd Gore’(You like that B.W?). The costume department also did a nice job and definitely worth noting, it kept me and mah lady Winter squirming in our seats with enjoyment (at least SOMETHING kept us happy). One thing that I got excited about in the movie is when they started talking about Mussolini coming for a visit, but they never even showed an actor portraying him. I was pretty heart broken because I like seeing impersonators, they amuse me. I was also irritated because they went on a Dago trip and started with the ‘Greasy Italian’ shit.

I am sure most of the people will run out and see this because it is imprinted that the war was horrible and Hitler was a bad man. I would not recommend this to most, but in a visual way I think it was beautiful (uniform, backgrounds, gore, etc). So don’t rush out and spend office price, but if you have interest I think this would make an entertaining rental.

Double Vision

So I finished watching the movie The Marsh. I tend to have first preference for haunt films, so when I saw this on the ‘Watch Instant’ section on Netflix I excitedly had to give it a view. This movie had a flow, but far from original, and half way through my head was noticeably bobbing as I tried to stay awake. Thankfully watching this movie did not rape any extra money from me, or effect my Netflix que...

Follow the lead character Claire take a needed break from life (writing children’s books) as she is affected by reoccurring night terrors. When deciding to make some time for herself she was watching a television special on a vacation house, when she realized it is the same home that she saw in her dreams... so of course she decided to go there. She arrives and begins to remember faces of the town’s people from her nightmare, and strange occurrences in the house which later are confirmed to be a haunting. So through this film you watch her walk through her memory and tie her reoccurring issues to the town.

This film was overplayed for me, and it tried really hard to do the ‘fright’ clips even from the very beginning, so it got old fast. And by fright I mean the cheesy loud sounds or an unexpected person popping up to surprise you, and after years of horror movies these seldom work on an individual like myself (except there was one scene that got me). So, would I recommend this? Nope, not unless you have never seen a haunt movie before… Then this may be effective and enjoyable. But being a fan of the area, a film needs to be more original (or maybe entertaining?) to make an impression on me.

But never fear! To give you a pickup from The Marsh disappointment, I will give you a good recommendation. There is a movie I saw a few months back and since then have been craving to watch it again, and happily plan to add it to my collection. This movie is Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.

This movie really struck a note with me because one thing I like to think about is the normality and basic life that even serial killers live out. Just imagine how it would be to sit around and have dinner with a killer, actually befriending and getting close to someone like Ted Bundy. That is my perfect vision, and in this film you watch a documentary crew follow the killer Leslie. Along the way you will learn a few of his tricks, watch him stalk his prey, and get a feel for the humor and real person behind the mask. I want to note that the actor for Leslie did such an impressive job I ended up getting a small movie crush on the guy. Impressive.

This movie kept me involved through the entire play and was very funny, and by the end the ‘horror’ aspect came to play (the beginning would be considered more of a comedy for darker individuals). Also, there is a limited appearance by Robert Englund... which was a nice surprise. And let me proudly note, this was primarily filmed in Oregon!

This movie had some fun death, but I wasn’t focusing on filling a blood lust (big surprise for anybody that knows me) so I was not let down by quality, but delighted that a movie was made in a vision that I have always liked to fantasize. Recommended? You bet your ass!

I Drink Your Blood

Warm out of my player is a grindhouse special of I Drink Your Blood. This film opens to a group of hippies surrounding a camp fire and performing a sacrifice for the father, Satan. Just off in a distance is a local town girl watching in fear, who is soon noticed by the group and beaten (possibly raped) for witnessing the act. When morning breaks it is time for the Satanic band to move on, but they are experiencing car trouble and have to look for shelter in the nearby town instead. This particular town, to their advantage, is becoming a ghost town due to recent construction work so most that remains is a small family (including the beaten girl from the night before) and their bakery, while the rest of the area consist of boarded homes.

The odd group are quickly noticed by the family and the grandfather is ready to set them straight for having way with his granddaughter. The intimidation doesn’t get the elder man far, as he lays defeated at the gangs feet and LCD is dropped in his mouth to keep him calm. At this point the nosy little grandson is looking for ol’ gramps and manages to get him home so that he can attempt revenge of his own(Tough kid to try and go up against 8 psychos). On his way to hopefully shoot the band members, the kid runs into a rabid dog which is put from its misery and its blood is used to contaminate the group instead. This is where things get even weirder and by the following morning those in the town become infected and the movies ends with a zombie feel. A lesson learned is not to have sex because women will spread rabies, and never buy meat pies for $.25!

To get this out of the way I want to point out that this movie twisted my panties in a bad way with its unnecessary use of dead animals, and this is coming from a woman that was raised with a gun in one hand and fresh meat in another. In the situation of food, I feel that it is understandable to provide for yourself or family… But I am against unnecessary killing under normal circumstances. To start the film by cutting a chicken’s throat and watching its head bob around as it dies is not my cup of tea. Not to mention killing rats, dragging a dead goat, beating a rabbit, and a young boy ‘killing’ a German shepherd. It doesn’t show the dog dying, and hopefully I would like to think that the dog was not actually killed, but the last view is a close up of the dog lying lifeless with blood on its neck. So to keep myself from getting upset, I am just going to tell myself that it was a dog actor regardless of the grade of film and being made in a time when animal death was a cheap alternative for easy squirms in movies. I am NOT for PETA or anything of the sort so don’t get that impression from my remark, I just have a solid view on mortality.

This movie had some entertaining gore, and I was actually impressed with the realism of the severed body parts. Though this movie had an original plot it is not something I would feel is necessary in my collection... and with that I think one could live without viewing. BUT if you want a movie in the background while you sit around and throw a few back with friends, this would work great because it did have some good humor and the ending quote was so cheesy I could barely keep it together… It made me feel like I finished watching a old informative film about the dangers of rabies.

Where Is My Anatomical Dummy?!

As a child one of the scariest things for me were mannequins, dolls, or even teddy bears(god help me after seeing The Pit), so when I saw the movie Pin I could not believe the idea that a child actually accepted guidance or lessons from what was believed to be a talking and skinless display dummy. Seriously (Seriously?), that should have been a red flag. But setting a few of my childhood fears aside, this was actually an interesting movie and I liked it as a psychological thriller.

The main character is Leon, who doesn’t get adequate love from his OCD crazed mother or his distant father, so he looks to a life cast anatomical mannequin named Pin that is held at his father’s health office. Growing up, Leon and his Sister Ursula would visit this dummy during check ups or when in the company of their father, and since their father had a talent of ventriloquism he would talk with his children through Pin. With Leon’s emotional state, he was left believing that Pin was real even when progressing through High School. When his father realized that Leon was spending evenings in his office carrying full conversations with the dummy, it was quickly decided that the dummy had to go and Leon wasn’t doing so good. The father figured to leave Pin after a speech at a local Hospital but during the rushed drive to the clinic they got in a deadly crash leaving both parents dead, but Pin in the backseat waiting for Leon’s assistance.

This movie guides you through Leon’s struggle with his multiple personalities as he keeps Pin part of the family in his newly inherited estate, but with this you watch Ursula helpless in trying to live a normal life while still accepting and caring for her unstable brother. The movie ends in the progression that is expected, but it is still interesting to watch Leon’s mind unravel as he tries to keep his idea of ‘perfection’ together. Gore was not a necessity in this movie, but there is a little deep red to fill our morbid desires.

"Im Directing This Fucking Movie!"

So my next piece is dedicated to Last House on Dead End Street. The mood of this picture is pretty raw with the classic 70’s feel thanks to the overuse of brown, not to mention the picture quality and its cherished burn marks, dust, and crackled audio. During the film you follow Terry as he raises hell with his black hair and midnight leather jacket and dry Eastern accent. This film starts with Terry being released from jail due to drug charges, and listening to his scattered thoughts as he expresses his expanding grudge for humanity and the idea of revenge by making snuff films.

First step is by intimidating his old and unfortunate friend, who happens to be a camera man, into helping him setup his idea. Following is a set of good looking women to help juice up the film and help keep him occupied. On set and rolling you are introduced to the first victim whom is helplessly tied to a beam as Terry takes the key role and portrays himself as a god controlling life. Things progress and new movies are needed so you sit back and watch Terry spin out of control in his power drenched insanity as he and his group torture and record those unfortunate for being fortunate.

The gore in this movie was impressive for the era and tastefully done with opera music playing (or suspenseful heart beat) and various camera angles. This film included a few climatic pieces including dismemberment and disemboweling and a killing that makes you want to pop in Driller Killer. The characters did build and this had a filling story line, but it may be for an acquired taste because it has a mellow flow which I myself need to be in the mood for.

Tearing the Hymen with Thriller: A Cruel Picture

I am hoping to make this a collection of who I am... Everything from Makeup reviews of varied products to an overview of a recent movie to pop out of my player. Likely this will result to be more of the later, but my life cycles so only time will tell....

For starters, primarily northern Oregon has been hit with what we are calling an "Artic Blast" on the news... which is a big deal for us. Usually we are immune to frequent showers in our moldy wooded area, and ever year or so when it does snow we get a light layer of damp snow and it is melted by the following morning.. So to have days of dry powder and on going ice is very frightening, and causing a percentage of us to shelter indoors or grip the steering of our sliding vehicles as we go down the wrong way of a one way road. I have been using this as a time to go over some of my tucked away movies that have been in need of my attention, except for Murder Weapon as I honestly don't know if I have the patience to watch another minute.... So it is noted that a good start to my blogs will be movie related.

Something to keep in mind with my movie reviews is that I refuse to watch films of lower rating if they are available unrated, so all of my notes are collected from full versions(No rated R's here!) unless there is a difficult availability which is noted with some movies that are only VHS release with limited copies. Also, I do not believe in spoiling the full length of a film but I do enjoy providing some detailed reviews so keep this in mind with my movie post.

My update is with Thriller: A Cruel Picture starring a muted and adorable Christina Lindberg(but as a beauty freak I will note, she severely over plucked her left eyebrow). This is actually the first film I have seen with Christina, and from the first time I saw her I realized she was a pedophiles wet dream. At the peak of her career, regardless of her age, she had a very beautiful and mature body with the face of a child. But regardless of my first impressions, I enjoy the style of films she has included herself in so it was bound to end in love.

This particular picture opens to a childlike view of an elder man taking advantage and raping a young Madeleine (Christina) while she ventured in a park. The extent of this left her traumatized, and mute. With time she did continue with daily life, and assisted her family in caring for their farm and providing fresh milk for neighbors. After work was finished, Madeleine would have the oppurtunity to visit the local town, but after missing the bus to her destination she was soon approached by a seemingly geniune man named Tony offering her a ride. From this point on, you are forced to watch her be held by drug force in Tony's home and pimped for his benefit until she finally gets needed revenge.

A great piece of Trivia provided by a friend is that a real corpse was used in a particular scene where you watch Tony slowly stab Madeleine's eye, resulting in her classic eye patch appearance for the film. So with this bit it is noted that there is a nice short of gore but unfortunately the extent of the effects are blood splatter.. and after watching the dark selection of films I have that just simply doesn't do the trick so that is a downside for any gore hounds. Something else to make note of is that there are minutes of clips that include closeup views of practical sex as well as anal sex and ejaculation(And no, it is confirmed that it is not Christina's vag so don't get to excited). Since this is an exploitation piece, it should be expected, but keep in mind this may not be a movie that one would be comfortable playing with Grandma in the living room. And there is an over extended bit in slow motion for about 10mins of the film during a revenge scene. I love it when movies do these simple things, because it is such a classic morbid art flow similar to A Clockwork Orange, but it actually got past that point and I was worried something happened to my player because it just went on and on.

Overall though, I really enjoyed this movie and if you can keep up with 70's foreign(yes, subtitled) exploitation films that end with a loving selection of revenge then I would highly recommend this movie.
